"We act everyday to save our lives. People lie constantly everyday", Marlon Brando
Inspired by television interview with actor Marlon Brando, we explore the survival mechanisms we use and the different roles we play as we act our way through life, the beauty in the unique and rare moments we reveal fragility as we show our truths, and how this can empower us.
Momenta was originally created as an installation piece for Carnegie House Arts Centre, Bridgend (October 2015) and developed through our Arrive Dance Platform Projects at The Muni Arts Centre, Pontypridd (February 2016), and the Memo Arts Centre, Barry (July 2017). We have recently completed the work which forms one of the pieces in our current double bill production 'Murmur', premiered at the Memo Arts Centre in September 2018, and touring to Welsh venues in 2019/2020.
